about

Curated by women, in support of women artists, Art des Femmes is an art selling platform offering contemporary paintings and prints, created exclusively by women artists. The selected works have been personally curated by Evelyn Tompkins, a private art dealer, and Sotheby’s alumna, with 30+ years of experience in the art world.

Art des Femmes was founded in the summer of 2020, amid the coronavirus pandemic. With galleries and museums temporarily closed and art shows and fairs postponed, fewer collectors are able to enjoy and purchase art in person. Museums, galleries, and auction houses, alike, are transforming, transitioning their operations online.

In light of the new art world reality, artists continue to create compelling pieces. Our mission at Art des Femmes is to connect collectors with carefully curated works of art and to promote talented women artists.
